Surfers Point
The lure of Surfers Point is in the resonant echo of Main Break’s monstrous swells and the men and women brave enough to ride them. Surfers Point is a symbol of the South West’s wild shore.
The myth of the break’s discovery is conserved by plaques that tell the story of the meaning this wave has for modern day Margaret River.
First just the odd carload of intrepid wave seekers. And then, gradually, renown so great it now attracts the best surfers in the world as part of the professional world surfing circuit.
Tiers of lawn form natural theatre seating each night at sunset. On summer evenings, families descend for fish and chips from the mobile food truck.
